Not sure who you need?

What CaseReader isn't.

A pack prepares you for a professional. It doesn't tell you what to sign or do.

  • Not legal, financial or other professional advice. We aren't solicitors, surveyors or accountants, or regulated by the SRA, RICS or ICAEW: no regulated-firm protections, such as the Legal Ombudsman.
  • We don't act for you, contact the other side, or fill in or file forms.
  • We don't calculate or watch deadlines.
  • AI and people make mistakes; every note cites its clause and page.
  • A court date, or a deadline within 14 days? Speak to a solicitor or a free service now: Citizens Advice, Shelter (housing), Acas (work) or LEASE (flat leaseholders).

Before you send anything.

Is this legal advice?
No. A pack is a careful first reading that helps you get advice: what your documents say, where, and what to ask. It doesn't tell you what to sign or what to do, and it doesn't make us your solicitor. We aren't solicitors, surveyors or accountants and aren't regulated by the SRA or RICS, so you don't get a regulated firm's protections, such as the Legal Ombudsman.
What if there's a court date or a close deadline?
We can still read it, but speak to a solicitor or a free advice service now, such as Citizens Advice, Shelter or Acas. Don't wait for us: we don't calculate, watch or act on deadlines. A pack can help you brief them.
My document is 40 pages. Is £49 realistic?
£49 covers the first 10 pages, then £3 a page up to 60, so 40 pages costs £139. You see the estimate before you create an account, and we confirm the total before you commit. Please include every schedule and plan.
What can you read?
Almost anything: business papers, employment contracts and settlement agreements, tenancies and leases, buying or selling a home, contracts with builders or sellers, debts and insurance, family papers, wills and estates, and court or tribunal papers. Immigration and asylum papers are outside our scope. Unsure? Try “Not sure who you need?” or ask us first.
Why not just put it into an AI chat tool myself?
For a short letter, that may be enough. A pack is different: a person checks each point against your pages; every note is pinned to its clause and page; we read the whole thing, including scans, plans and schedules; and you get a tidy pack you can share with your solicitor, family or committee, with the questions written.
More questions
What does “checked by a person” mean?
Before you get your pack, the person preparing it reads your documents and checks every point against your pages: the wording quoted, the clause and page it points to, and the dates listed. It means checked against your documents, not checked as legal advice. The optional AI conversation isn't checked as you chat.
When will my pack be ready?
Pay between 9am and 5pm on a working day and it's due by the same time the next working day. Before 9am, the clock starts at 9am; after 5pm, at weekends or on an England and Wales bank holiday, it starts at 9am the next working day. You see the exact due time before you pay. If we miss it, we refund you in full and still deliver. While card payments are being set up, we confirm your price and delivery time by email before we start. Nothing is charged until you agree.Accounts open soon. When they do, we'll confirm your price and delivery time before we start.
Who reads my documents?
Several AI models process the text, and the person preparing your pack reads the documents and checks each point. Our hosting, sign-in, payment and AI providers handle data for us as set out in the privacy notice. Your pack opens only when you're signed in.
How do you look after my data?
Files travel encrypted and are stored, encrypted, in a private EU storage bucket. Uploads are deleted 90 days after upload; packs stay in your account for 12 months. Ask us and we'll delete either sooner. The privacy notice lists every company that handles your data.
Will it cut my solicitor's bill?
We can't promise that. Your adviser will still read the documents and charge for their advice. You get a clear idea of what the documents say, who usually handles them, and a focused list of questions.
What is the conversation for?
After adding your documents you can talk it through with our AI assistant, in up to 10 messages: what you want answered and what's worrying you. It can explain in general terms what wording like yours usually means. It isn't advice, decides nothing about your documents, and its replies aren't checked by a person as you chat. At the end you check a short brief, which your reviewer reads before starting. It's optional: you can write a note instead.
Who sees what I type?
Pages are counted on your device, and files are uploaded only when you sign in and choose to send them. If you use the optional AI conversation, the text extracted from your documents and your messages go to our server and to our curated professional support AI model, run by a US-based AI provider, so it can reply, even before you sign in. We keep the conversation and brief with your order for your reviewer, and delete them with it. If you don't send an order, we delete the conversation after 90 days. See the privacy notice.
Can I share the pack with my solicitor or committee?
Yes. Download it, print it or save it as a PDF. Every point carries a clause and page reference your adviser can check quickly.
What if your page count differs from mine?
We recount PDFs when they arrive, and you see the confirmed price before you pay. Word, text and video files are counted by hand. If one is longer than estimated, we ask before starting, and you can cancel for a full refund.
Which law do you cover?
We write for the law of England and Wales. Under Scottish or Northern Irish law? We still read it in general terms, but the law differs in places, so check points with a solicitor there. Not sure? Choose "Not sure" and we'll check when we read it.
Can you read a settlement agreement?
Yes. But it only binds you once you've had advice on it from a relevant independent adviser, such as a solicitor, and offers often have a deadline. A pack helps you prepare for that advice; it doesn't replace it.
Can you recommend a solicitor, surveyor or accountant?
Yes. Tell us where you are and we'll suggest firms that handle your kind of document. We don't take referral fees; if that ever changes, we'll say so here and in your pack.
What kinds of documents work best?
Typed documents and clear scans work best; with phone photos, take one per page. Include every schedule, plan and letter that goes with it. Over 60 pages? Send us a message for a quote.

Still unsure? Ask us first.
